I set out this morning ready to tackle 9 miles, figuring the big obstacle was going to be my procrastination and the heat outside. Ended up, my achilles hurt bad and I was walking in the first mile. I told myself I'd see how I felt after two miles of walking. It was still tight/sore, so I called it quits. Walked 3.5 miles instead of running 9. Depressing, but I know necessary.
I don't know what to do beyond stretching and strengthening. I am going to look into getting a knee brace to hopefully stabilize my patella, but who knows. I can't tell if the achilles is hurting because of the patella or vice versa or just in addition to. Sucks.
I'm really trying to do the right things. I hope it's enough.
